The Summer Skies by Jenny Colgan (Little, Brown Book Group UK)

Morag is an excellent and ambitious pilot; when her grandfather falls ill, she temporarily takes over the family airline company in the Scottish Highlands and supplies the islands with planes. After an unexpected accident, she finds himself on a deserted island, where the ornithologist Gregor temporarily resides. And, as you might expect, they don't get along at all.

This is a story about returning to one's roots, finding oneself, and finding love. The atmosphere in the novel is wonderful; the tension between the main characters is expected; only the beginning is slow and perhaps too focused on the detailed explanation of planes and flying. We're not used to that at Jenny Colgan's books! :)

Enjoyable and cozy read.
