The Girl with No Shadow by Joanne Harris (William Morrow)

Key characters from Chocolat are back and live anonymously in Montmartre, Paris. Vianne with two daughters, all with new names, living grey, common life without magic and vividness. And with no chocolate!

And yet, there is someone in the shadows, lurking behind the scenes, someone without a name, someone who collects the lives of others. Someone who pretends so well that even the witch can't discover their true purpose. Maybe mother's heart can?

And the battle between worthy opponents can begin. Maybe this is a final battle before the happy or unhappy end.

The wind is ever-changing...

As always, Joanne Harris intertwined the story with charm, magic, and love. All the characters are so vivid, emotional, believable and the reader can almost smell the chocolate and its magic powers to improve and change the lives of all involved.

Totally enjoyable!
