The Third Grave by Lisa Jackson (Hodder & Stoughton)

Abandoned estate. Local thief finds two skeletons, but three graves. They belong to long lost sisters, the third is still missing. Is she still alive?

Detective Reed tries to solve the mistery, his journalist wife Nikki constantly interferes in the investigation and that leads to tragic events.

The novel starts promisingly, but the character of Nikki is so egocentric that was really hard to relate to her. From my perspective the outcome is quite predictable.

However, good read for rainy afternoon.
