In Her Tracks by Robert Dugoni (Thomas & Mercer)

After maternity leave, detective Tracy Crosswhite is transferred to Cold Cases. She starts to investigate a 5 years old case, little Elle is still missing and it seems that her parents are involved. Tracy also helps Violent Crimes team when young runner dissapears from a park.

Are the cases somehow connected? As young mother, Tracy has to juggle between family and very demanding job. 

Very dark and stunning novel, I loved it.
